Sacred Space

From time to time
I reach that space,
the sanctum sanctorum,
the void of life,
the emptiness
brimming with fullness,
the womb of creation,
indescribable,
where words write
their own requiem,
as they fall graciously
like leaves
on the altar of autumn.

From that space
come to me,
random pearls
that I string together
and emerge on the surface,
a jubilant diver
with the necklace of poetry.

An exquisite and magical poem where poetry itself becomes a metaphor, the jewels of the meticulously crafted words that are strung around the poet’s neck, awesome imagery!

Very elegant and gracefully written. It's almost so delicate that I'm afraid to utter the words aloud for fear that they might shatter upon my tongue. Nicely written, keep it up!
